To commemorate the sad passing of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, I have produced an engraved ebony bobbin.

The bobbin has the Prince's date of birth and passing, along with a quote by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, taken from a speech she gave on their Golden Wedding anniversary 

The design is in gold on a black ebony bobbin with the text:

Prince Philip 10.6.1921 - 9.4.2021

“He has, quite simply, been my strength and stay all these years, and I, and his whole family, and this and many other countries, owe him a debt greater than he would ever claim, or we shall ever know.” - Queen Elizabeth.

Important the shape of the midland bobbin is a straight sided bobbin, not waisted as in the photo of bobbin styles
